Karen Baskin, Branch Manager/Senior Loan Officer for Crestmark Mortgage, is a practiced professional with 17 years experience in the mortgage industry. Karen's honesty, as well as her dedication to and immense respect for her clients, are vital in her success as a trusted mortgage consultant.

Karen started her career as an assistant to a mortgage branch manager before moving to processor and then Loan Officer. As a Loan Officer, Karen has spent the bulk of her career working with builders and new construction homebuyers. Karen's outstanding professionalism hasn't gone unnoticed by her peers in the industry; she was awarded the PRISM Award for Loan Officer of the Year in both 1999 and 2002.

A native Houstonian, Karen's commitment to putting others first led her to Crestmark Mortgage. She strives to be open and straight forward with her clients, communicating what is happening in the loan process from beginning to end. Through Crestmark's "Customer for Life" program, Karen is able to lend nationwide. She also serves her clients with in-house underwriting, fast pre-qualification and online accessibility, ensuring an expedient transaction using only the best resources and cutting-edge technology.

When she's not helping clients achieve their homeownership dreams, Karen loves spending time with family and friends. She is also an avid reader and traveler, and is an active member of the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo. A true Texan - Karen also enjoys barbeques and cooking out.
