About Me
As a Senior Residential Mortgage Loan Officer, Patty Thompson loves her job! She first became involved in the mortgage industry as a landlord, and she wanted to acquire more investment properties. It seemed logical to learn the financing end of the business to save money. As a Loan Officer, she soon discovered she enjoyed being able to affect positive change in people’s lives. She joined Gene Humphries at a Colorado mortgage company in 1996 and has found working the residential mortgage business to be a very rewarding career. She has a passion for empowering people to proactively work toward achieving their financial goals through real estate investing. A graduate of Todd Duncan’s High Trust Sales Academy, she was a top producer for Cornerstone Mortgage Company in 2003.
Born in Kalamazoo, Michigan, Patty has lived in Fort Collins, Colorado, since 1967. She graduated from the University of Northern Colorado with a bachelor’s degree in community health with an emphasis in business administration. She has three children — her oldest son is in the Navy at the Military Defense Intelligence Language School in Monterey, California; her daughter was a medic in the Army and will soon graduate from Colorado State University; and her youngest son lives and works in Fort Collins. Patty most enjoys spending time with her granddaughter, and with a second grandchild on the way, life is sure to be busy! She also likes to travel, hike, ski and knit.
