Vice President/Loan Officer
Susan Demopulos, Residential Lending Consultant for Cornerstone Home Lending, Inc., began her mortgage lending career in 1988, ultimately making Cornerstone her professional home in 2000. Susan’s exceptional service has been consistently recognized over the years. She has been named a Texas Monthly “Best in Client Satisfaction” Five Star Professional and a D Magazine “Best Mortgage Professional.” Susan has also received Angie’s List Super Service Award.
With a Bachelor of Arts in Finance from the University of North Texas, Susan has excelled in the economic arena. Her business philosophy is based on 100 percent client satisfaction and she loves the challenge of helping borrowers select the most beneficial mortgage program for each client’s individual needs. Since 2000, Susan has worked to oversee every detail of each transaction from start to finish, ensuring a smooth and streamlined home-financing process that meets the agreed-upon closing date.
Susan’s career is not the only priority in her life. She and her husband, John, have three lovely daughters. For most all of her life, Susan has lived in Dallas, and she remains an active participant in her community. Her hobbies include playing the piano, spending time outdoors, and enjoying sports like tennis.
In today’s complicated world of mortgage banking, Susan has distinguished herself among her peers, serving as branch, area and district manager for a major mortgage company before joining Cornerstone. Susan puts her highly accomplished mortgage experience to excellent purpose for her clients.

Inspired by the opportunity to help people achieve one of the biggest milestones of their lives – homeownership – Scott Grau joined Cornerstone Home Lending, Inc. as a Loan Officer Assistant and is now a Loan Officer on the Demopulos-Grau Team.
The Oklahoma State University Business Management graduate and Dallas native is a driven, reliable team player, and thanks his mother Carole, a veteran finance industry professional, for those attributes. Scott is dedicated to fulfilling his team and Cornerstone’s mission of making a positive difference in the lives of others. His dedication throughout his six-year industry tenure has earned the trust of customers and partners alike, as well as recognition as a 2020 Five Star Mortgage Professional featured in D Magazine.
Scott is an avid sports fan, playing golf regularly and competing in an adult ice hockey league in the DFW area. Scott credits much of his athleticism to his father Mitch, a Team USA water skier. In addition to athletics, Scott enjoys traveling, music, and outings with family and friends.
As Production Associate to the Demopulos-Grau Team, Carol works closely with clients throughout their home loan process, guiding them through each step, ensuring consistent communication, and following through on all details needed for a smooth and timely closing. Professional and approachable, Carol enjoys serving borrowers and answering their questions with accuracy and patience.
Before joining the mortgage industry, Carol spent 14 years as a real estate agent. Her love for the homebuying process and penchant for finance led her to home lending, where she has served with Cornerstone for more than ten years. Carol’s background in real estate and long-time experience in home lending provide her a unique perspective on the entirety of the process.
Outside of work, Carol enjoys spending time with her family, reading, walking, and traveling.
Senior Loan Processor
As Senior Loan Processor to the Demopulos-Grau Team, Erica works closely with clients and her team, preparing loans for closing, and helping clients get into their new homes. Hardworking and detail-oriented, Erica goes the distance to gather and organize all needed information, taking much of the work off the shoulders of the borrowers and making the process easy and stress-free.
Erica has spent more than eleven years working in home lending. She loves the fast pace of loan processing, the challenge of always learning something new, and the opportunity to help others achieve the milestone of homeownership.
Outside of work, Erica enjoys spending time with family and friends. Her hobbies include, basketball, music, reading, crafts, motorcycling, and all things outdoors
