Loan Officer
Highly customer focused, Jim listens closely and engages with clients on a personal level. Beyond the numbers, he wants to know their hopes, dreams, and desires for the future to find them the ideal loan for their needs. Jim loves to serve others, especially those who need it most. On his favorite day as a loan officer, he was able to help a single mom and her daughters close on a home – a dream they never thought would become a reality – and later that day closed on a home for a disabled veteran. These are the moments he loves the most.
Jim got his start in the industry in 2004, beginning as a title representative and working in real estate for more than a decade. He became a loan officer in 2015, encouraged by his loan officer older brothers, who recognized his skills as a great fit for home lending. Earlier on, Jim was a nationally recognized master craftsman in furniture design, designing furniture for leaders in the business and sports worlds. Prior to this, he was a surfer, surfboard builder, and a sales representative for Quicksilver and Ripcurl.
Jim grew up in Santa Cruz, California, where his family has been since the early 1900s. After graduating from high school, he spent 10 years in Hawaii pursuing big wave riding, before moving back to the mainland with his wife. They have called Monument, Colorado home since 1994. When he’s not working, Jim enjoys anything that gets his adrenaline going. He loves snowboarding, mountain biking, surfing, and big game hunting. When it’s time to unwind, writing, music, and the arts make up his quieter pastimes.
