From a young age, Luis Marquez knew that he wanted to give back to his community. A proud native of the Valley, he was born in Weslaco, raised in Laredo, and now today calls McAllen his home. His early years growing up as a Boy Scout instilled in him a lifelong sense of active, community-oriented engagement, which eventually carried over into his work as a Loaned Executive for United Way (where he was often employee of the quarter) and then as a trusted Loan Officer with Stonewood Home Lending.

Over his fruitful career, Luis has served in many roles within the home-financing and real estate industries, working with leading banks and companies as a Mortgage Loan Officer, Loss Mitigation Specialist, and Supervisor. For him, there is no greater feeling than fulfilling someone’s dream of homeownership. Driven by a whatever-it-takes mentality, and with a commitment to 100% transparency and honesty, he believes that open communication and 24/7 availability are the bedrock of his customer care. Whatever his clients need, he makes sure to always follow up and follow through.

When he’s not assisting his team or helping his clients, Luis loves to spend time with his family. He especially enjoys playing sports with his two boys, who are now five and seven – and growing fast! You can also often find him indulging in his passion for cooking and serving BBQ.
