As Senior Vice President & Managing Director of the Community Lending Division at Cornerstone Home Lending, he is committed to expanding access to homeownership through innovative lending solutions, down-payment assistance programs, and strategic partnerships with real estate professionals, builders, and community organizations.
Rod is known for his passion to help those whom others cannot—or will not—help. He believes that every client deserves a path forward, no matter their starting point. His philosophy is simple: “We never say no, we only say how.” By creating customized game plans for each family, Rod and his team work to transform challenges into solutions and open the door to homeownership for more people.
Rod’s career is guided by a belief in building trust, creating opportunities, and making a positive impact in the communities he serves. Whether mentoring loan officers, leading educational workshops, or collaborating with local organizations, he thrives on helping individuals and families achieve their financial and homeownership goals.
Rod is also deeply committed to his fraternity, Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc., which has shaped his values of service, leadership, and brotherhood. He takes pride in giving back to the community while carrying forward the principles instilled by his fraternity. Equally, he treasures his academic roots, having studied at both the University of Oklahoma and Southern Methodist University, where he developed the foundation for his professional career and lifelong commitment to growth.
Outside of work, Rod values family, faith, and community. Married for 30 years, he and his wife Kim enjoy traveling, attending music events, and spending time with their two adult children. He is also a golf enthusiast, enjoys sports, and is passionate about personal growth, leadership development, and giving back through community service.
